Crackberry the Blackberry

Posted by CreativeWolf on March 16, 2008

Oh boy, now whats the world coming to - Intercepting emails that are pushed via Blackberry, whats the plan about the rest of the world that pulls email?

Its been told that the whole sensational issue was brought out to limelight when the TaTa Teleservices were denied permission by the home affairs ministry to launch push email services owing to “security concerns”, where as there are other operators playing the game.

Now, how political that could be, only they might know who really knows.

Besides, whats the whole idea? Why not ban cellular services, GSM, CDMA, GPRS, EDGE, Internet et al.

Are we trying to adopt policies from the friendly nations like China & Japan to impress them by any chance?

And what is making out DoT officials & the home ministry think that intercepting some 200,000 user’s email is going to benefit them a great deal?

Or is it that, all of those 200,000 users are so dumb not to follow another standards of encryptions?

Where goes PGP and anything else thats available to encrypt & decrypt?

Now thats some food for thought while its also been quoted that Indian intelligence system has decryption facilities which are two generations old, as good as something that would work on a 40 bits encryption, while the world is marching forward towards 1208 bits and more, well even a common user uses 128 bits at least as far as I know.

Am I going to see Blackberry’s becoming table weights or is RIM going to bend to the standoff?

Wait to watch more on this…its pretty much going to be funny.
